That was very useful, thanks I'm taking the plane now.
Awesome place for evrtybody
I like the schedules and the facilities. I think it's a very good idea to buy second-hand books at a very reduced price or return the books through a deposit for when the library is not open.
Although, on the other hand, it seems to me that there is very little space in the study room and sometimes it gives a feeling of excessive overwhelm. The problem is that there is another room, and the library's policy is not to open it until it is excessively full. Sometimes, I have left because that specific day I needed more space and they did not open the other room.
Furthermore, I think it is a very bad government policy to not facilitate the preparation and education of students with large and spacious rooms.
I love this library, for me it is the best in Seville. I travel from Aljarafe to check out books because they don't have them in other libraries and they respond to the acquisition suggestions that users make. The staff is very friendly, always helpful with any questions or requests, both librarians and security personnel at the counter. The space is spacious, well-kept and tidy. Outside of the library they have a used book market for €1 which is fantastic and I have found very good titles. They also accept possible donations. In the cafeteria area they have other books that you can take for free. They have a large outdoor parking lot that is very convenient for citizens who go to the center. I follow them on social networks and I know that they have a wide agenda of activities: storytelling, bookmark contests with the kids, exhibitions, book presentations. I would like to be closer to this library to go more frequently and I think that the work they do should serve as an example to the rest of the libraries in the province of Seville.
The center is well equipped and the building is impeccable. As for librarians, it must be said that friendliness is not their best quality. I tried to buy a book (one of those sold for €1) from the receptionist, but the good woman preferred to continue lining boxes of Christmas props instead of taking 30 seconds to charge me for the book and write down the title. He kept me waiting indefinitely and in the end I had to ask another colleague who was passing by. I think that users should not pay for the "pikes" between staff members. Thank you.
Very good facilities, a very complete bibliographic fund. The personnel is very friendly. Without a doubt, I recommend it.
The library is very good in terms of resources and different areas, activities and so on, but it only deserves one star due to the great lack of respect from the librarians. I completely understand that if someone comes in to take a book or ask a question they have to talk to them and advise them, I have no problem with that, but they don't stop talking even if they are alone and if they will at least talk about something related to work... I have I had been sitting at the end of the ground floor and I was listening perfectly to them having a conversation about their cousins, about the fact that a cousin of one of them had surgery for X thing. It seems like an absolute lack of respect towards people who are trying to read or study. I do not ask for absolute silence since, as I have said before, they have to work, but I do respect that if they have to talk about personal things, they leave the room and go to the cafeteria area that is so good. It is shameful.
Very good facilities and parking. The problem is in the study room, the capacity is 75 people and until it is full they do not open another room. I think that when the number is around 60 people (which is already good for a room that will be about 40 square meters) you could consider opening another room, so there would be more comfort, you could find plugs for laptops more easily, the noise would be reduced by half and the environment would even be much less stuffy, so you could even save on air conditioning. It's just a matter of trying to manage things a little better.
